Preliminary plans have been started for our 60th reunion. The first step was to establish a date. Linda Gooch asked class members, through our mailing list, what month would they feel best for holding the reunion. The majority was August. Therefore, the date of August 8-9, 2025 has been identified. This is just the first step. Further plans require locations, food, costs, etc. etc. Please get involved by contacting Linda with your thoughts. You can also send your thoughts to the Webmaster of this site and they will be passed onto Linda. Although over a year away we need to start planning now, so mark your 2025 calendar.
Larry D Jackson passed away on March 7, 2024 in Green Bay, Wisconsin. He was born in Ft. Collins, Colorado on June 20, 1947 to the late Joyce and Doyle Jackson. He grew up in Craig, Colorado and attended Moffat County High School, graduating in 1965.
Larry served in the United States Navy from 1966 to 1970. After his enlistment his career continued as a police officer in Loveland, Colorado and evolved to security manager of Hewlett Packard in Ft. Collins. One of his greatest accomplishments was attaining his Certified Professional Protection certification which advanced his career "up and to the right" with Agilent Technologies, Securitas and the United States Postal Service; from which he retired in 2009 after serving in both Wisconsin and Iowa.
Larry loved hunting deer and elk in Colorado and fishing in Alaska, Minnesota and Wisconsin. He enjoyed a good card game, a trip to the casino, and "one or two" beers at the Elks Club in Loveland and Lenny's Tap in Green Bay. Larry loved traveling and meeting new people; and later in life he loved nothing better than living among nature in the north woods of Wisconsin where "every day had it's own beauty".
He is survived by his wife, Ellen, sons Shane J (Jackie), Jason (Annette), Shane R (Lisa), Steve (Donna) and daughters Shannan and Cherie, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, his children's mother, Jinny, plus many more friends and family. He is also survived by his sister, Cindy McWhorter and brother David (Barb).
Save a Place For Me
I have asked the questions why
But I guess the answer is for another time So instead I'll pray with every tear And be thankful for the time I had you here.
So, save some grace for me, and save a place for me.
Larry you are so loved and so missed.
A Celebration of Life for Larry will be held at:

Leon Letsinger, 75, of Boulder, Wyoming left this world to go fishing with Matt June 9, 2022; he passed peacefully in his sleep. Robert Leon Letsinger was born in Ava, Missouri July 25, 1946, to parents Emory F. and Goldie J. Letsinger. Leon attended K-12 in Craig, Colorado. After school he served his country for 6 years in the U.S. Army National Guard. He married the love of his life Annabelle K. Bistodeau April 12, 1970; together they had two sons, Michael and Matthew. The boys were his fishing buddies. Leon worked in the oilfield from the time he was 18 until he retired when he was 62 years old. From the North Slope to the Mexican Border, the rigs were many that he worked on! Leon loved to fish, hunt and snowmachine, but mostly fish! He spent many hours fishing around the state. He fished in Alaska and Canada and around Alamo Lake in Arizona, also Utah. Leon leaves behind his wife Ann of 52 years, his son Mike, and brothers Bill (Fran) Letsinger of Cibolo, TX and Elmer (Debbie) Letsinger of Mansfield, MO. Leon is now fishing with his son Matt who preceded him in death in August of 2021. We know that the fishing is great and goes on with great gusto! Memorial contributions in Leon’s memory can be made to; Tree Planting in the National Forests. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Here's a message from Linda Gooch asking our thoughts for a 55th reunion. Please respond to her by clicking on the link following her post.
Ok, gang - Looking for feedback for our reunion next summer. Suggestions of when(June,July,Aug,Sept); Do Fri night, Sat night & Sun brunch or something else; Place( the Luttrell Barn seems to be a nice, private place, would need to be catered meal) or other suggestions? Activities happening in the area to participate in: depending on the month, there is the Whittle da Wood contest in June, I believe, the hot air balloon event in early August along with the county fair, etc. Do we want to include other classes from around our year? Or all 1960's? Check with other classmates you're in contact with and let me know what your thoughts are. Looking forward to hearing back from y'all!
Linda
